Stapenhill Football Club is proud to announce the appointment of Jim Connell as the new Chairman. With a rich history as a local community club, Stapenhill FC is poised to create memorable moments under Jim's leadership.
Jim Connell expressed his excitement about his new role, stating, "It is a privilege to be the new Chairman of Stapenhill Football Club. As a local community club with a long history, we will work together to create history that will be remembered."
The club is thrilled to have Louis Briscoe as the manager, who recently signed a five-year deal. With the MFL League Cup Final on the horizon, the future looks bright for Stapenhill FC.
Jim Connell emphasized the strength of the team behind the scenes, saying, "Stapenhill Football Club has an excellent team behind the scenes, and we, the Directors and the Committee, aim to make this football club the best it can be."
The club also extends its gratitude to Stuart Birt for his contributions over the past two seasons as Chairman. Stuart will continue to serve as a Director, supporting the club's upward trajectory.
Join us in celebrating this new chapter for Stapenhill Football Club. This weekend the first team will be away to Cradley Town in the penultimate game of the season before they host Leicester St Andrews on the final day of the season. Meanwhile the reserve team will be looking to finish the season strong when they host Baobab United at Maple Grove kicking off at 3PM. On Sunday Stapenhill Women will be travelling to face Borrowash Victoria Ladies.
