About Stapenhill FC

Nestled in the Stapenhill area of Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Stapenhill Football Club has a storied history that stretches back to 1947. Today, they compete in the Midland League Division One and call Maple Grove their home.

The club's journey began with a bang; just ten years after their formation, they joined the Leicestershire Senior League Division Two and swiftly rose through the ranks. Their debut season saw them promoted, and they clinched the Division One championship in the following two seasons. Stapenhill's prowess kept them mostly in the top division, except for a brief stint in Division Two during the 1971–72 season. They triumphed in the Premier Division, as it was later known, twice more in the late '80s.
